AAA Wisconsin: It’s Official: State Gasoline Average Sets New Record High, AAA Reports

The average price for a gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline in Wisconsin is a new record high of $1.968, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report, www.fuelgaugereport.com. The previous record was $1.953 set June 20, 2000.

The current average is 15.3 cents higher than a month ago at this time and 44.5 cents higher than a year ago. The Wisconsin per-gallon price breakdown from AAA’s Fuel Gauge survey is:

AVERAGE SELF-SERVE
Unleaded regular: $1.968
Mid-grade: $2.043
Unleaded premium: $2.138

The Milwaukee-Waukesha market has a current average of $2.005 for self-serve regular unleaded.

Other average prices for gas in the region are: Illinois, $1.968; Iowa, $1.857; Minnesota, $1.881; and Michigan, $1.939.

The national average is currently a record high $1.892.
