U.S. Chamber of Commerce: Wisconson Small business leaders flock to D.C. To urge no compromise on card check bill

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will welcome business leaders from across Wisconson to its Workforce Freedom Airlift lobbying blitz to urge no compromise on the so-called “Employee Free Choice Act.” Surrounding the event, local business leaders will be available for print and broadcast media interviews.

The controversial bill would effectively strip workers of a private vote in union organizing elections, allow the federal government to dictate wages and working conditions, and impose one-sided penalties on employers.

The U.S. Chamber’s General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer Steven Law and Vice President for Labor, Immigration, and Employee Benefits Randel Johnson are also available to highlight how the bill stifles growth and kills jobs during already-trying economic times.
