4-C: Announces new board members, hires and changes

(MADISON / March 5, 2009) – 4-C is pleased to announce the following have recently joined the agency’s Board of Directors:

Joanna Parker is the Executive Director of The Learning Gardens, a child care center on Madison’s west side.

Kim Straka is the Marketing Director at Axley Brynelson, LLP, a law firm located in downtown Madison.

In addition, the agency is pleased to announce the promotion of Jody Bartnick and hiring of Jessica Smith.

Jody was promoted from her position as 4-C Child And Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Manager to Executive Director. Jessica has joined the agency as the Assistant Certification Manager.

In existence since 1971, 4-C is part of an association of accredited, non-profit Wisconsin child care resource and referral agencies. 4-C certifies family child care homes in Columbia and Dane Counties, administers the CACFP in 20 Wisconsin Counties, offers a child care referral service and options to parents and employers, and provides professional development and training opportunities for early childhood professionals. The agency’s mission is to ensure that every child has access to high quality early care & education through integrated support and expertise.
