Madison, WI – Attorney Margery M. Tibbetts has joined the Janesville law office of Murphy Desmond S.C. in the firm’s Litigation and Labor & Employment practice groups.
Tibbetts has practiced law for 20 years, primarily in civil litigation matters including commercial litigation, insurance defense, construction issues, personal injury, workers compensation, real estate and personal property tax challenges, and appellate advocacy before the State Court of Appeals and State Supreme Court. Her litigation experience includes defense of municipalities and retailers in negligence and slip and fall cases, and defense of municipalities in civil rights matters. She has litigated Open Records Request challenges, disputes over non-compete agreements and trade secrets, professional negligence cases and workers compensation cases for both employees and employers. Tibbetts’ practice encompasses the entire state of Wisconsin and Federal Courts. She is authorized to practice in Wisconsin, the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Tibbetts earned her bachelors degree from Indiana University and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School. She is an active participant in the Rock County community through her involvement with a variety of youth sports organizations, the Rotary Club, and the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, among others.
