WP Beverages: WP Beverages expands, Purchases Pepsi-Cola of Huron, South Dakota

Announcement has been made of the sale of Pepsi-Cola of Huron, South Dakota with locations in Mitchell, Huron, Chamberlain and Pierre to WP Beverages. WP Beverages, a subsidiary of Wis-Pak, Inc., is based in Windsor, Wisconsin. With this acquisition, WP Beverages becomes the 8th largest Pepsi-Cola franchisee in the U.S.

WP Beverages LLC, a subsidiary of Wis-Pak, was created in 2004 upon the sale of Pepsi-Cola of Madison (WI) and Pepsi-Cola of Rockford (IL). In addition to the Wisconsin and Illinois Pepsi-Cola franchises, the company acquired Pepsi-Cola of Iron Mountain (MI) in 2006. WP Beverages currently employees 350 people.

Formed in 1969, Wis-Pak was created for the manufacture of soft drinks and has supplied soft drinks to it’s bottler-owners for over thirty years. Wis- Pak, with headquarters in Watertown, WI, is now one of the largest cooperative companies in the soft drink industry with production facilities in 6 locations throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
