Incentive Marketing Assn. 2009 leadership team aims to strengthen industry voice, education

Dec. 2, 2008 NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Incentive Marketing Association, the leading voice of suppliers in the incentive marketplace, has elected Norma Jean Knollenberg, owner and CEO of Top Brands, Inc., Oshkosh , Wis. , as its 2009 president.

Knollenberg’s goals for 2009 include improved communications messages “that clearly articulates why and how incentive programs can be used strategically to motivate employees and customers to achieve business results.” She added that IMA is planning additional educational and certification opportunities for its 800 members, and a successful launch of its new publication, Return on Performance, whose readership will include senior executives across the U.S. and Canada .

IMA’s board also elected four officers for the 2009 term. They include: Executive Vice President, James Beyer of Sony Electronics, Park Ridge , N.J. ; Vice President Barbara Hendrickson, of Design Incentives, Livonia , Mich. ; Treasurer Spencer Toomey of The Corporate Marketplace, Westport , Conn. , and Past President Rick Blabolil, of Marketing Innovators International, Rosemont , Ill.

Four new directors join IMA Board

IMA’s 2009 leadership includes newly-elected directors Louise Anderson of Anderson Performance Improvement, Hastings , Minn. ; Leslie A. Demourelle of Walgreen Co., Deerfield , Ill. ; Greg Greunke, Jr. of Greunke, LLC, San Francisco , and Brett Hatch of Maui Jim Sunglasses, Peoria , Ill.

They join directors Mike Arvelo of Paramax, Red Bank, N.J.; Karen Eglitis of Bose Corp. Framingham, Mass.; Andrew Dodge of L.L. Bean Direct to Business, Freeport, Maine; Joe Gabler of Gabler Sales, Inc., Minneapolis; Mike Landry, of Tumi Longmeadow, Mass.; Dave Peer of Hinda Incentives, Chicago; Robert Purdy of Carlton Group, Ltd. Markham, Ontario; Nancy Serrato of First Data Prepaid Services, San Leandro, Calif., and Robert Ward of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts / Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Chicago.

IMA is continuing to plan expansion of its membership base to more than 1,000 members worldwide by 2010.
