Kewaskum, WI (November 12, 2008) – Beginning in 1911 and continuing to the present day, quality cooking utensils manufactured in West Bend and Kewaskum, Wisconsin have been found in kitchens throughout the world. Now the story of the impact these products have made in women’s history and American consumerism is being told.

The Washington County Historical Society will unveil its latest contribution to the community, the West Bend Company/Regal Ware Historic Museum, at 18 E. Washington Street in West Bend (next to River Shores entrance), open to the public beginning Friday, November 14, 2008. Normal hours of operation for the Museum will be Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and other times by appointment.

“We are proud to be the keeper of both the Regal Ware and West Bend Company legacies showcased in this museum,” said Jeffrey Reigle, President & CEO of Regal Ware, Inc. “Regal Ware and West Bend are names that are part of the fabric of this community. We are determined to keep southeastern Wisconsin a force in the cookware industry as we write the history of tomorrow by our continuing commitment to integrity, dedication, performance, and pride in the manufacture and sales of our products.” Regal Ware acquired selected assets of the West Bend Company in 2002, combining the two cookware giants located within miles of each other in southeastern Wisconsin.

In celebration of the milestone event of the museum opening, Regal Ware has announced a Community Appreciation Sale in recognition of the contributions made by many families and individuals in the successful history of both companies. The Regal Ware Outlet Store, located at 201 Second Street in Kewaskum, will be offering their stainless steel cookware, cast aluminum cookware, home drinking water systems, and miscellaneous kitchen utensils at special pricing from November 15th through the end of the year. The company is also offering an additional $5.00 discount for every $30.00 purchase during the same time period. Most of the items have been produced in the current Regal Ware manufacturing facility at Schmidt Road in West Bend, or at their Second Street manufacturing facility in Kewaskum. The Outlet Store will be open Monday, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – Noon.

In addition, before year-end Regal Ware plans to open a satellite outlet store within the West Bend Co./Regal Ware Historic Museum featuring select Regal Ware products. A percentage of those sales will be returned to the Museum as a donation according to Reigle.
