Union Awaits Company’s Response to Request for Additional Meetings
MILWAUKEE — After 10 hours of bargaining, Federal Mediator Gary Lisiecki concluded the session between Teamsters Local 200 and Waste Management Inc. for the day.
Local 200, the elected bargaining representative of 240 workers that went on strike on Tuesday, August 26, has made a formal request through the federal mediator to Waste Management to schedule additional bargaining sessions.
“We have made it clear that our bargaining committee is willing to meet any day this week,” said Tom Millonzi, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 200. “We await the company’s reply.”
