Schneider Logistics: Names Vice President of Business Development

GREEN BAY, Wis., March 22 /PRNewswire/ — Schneider Logistics Inc., an international lead logistics provider, today announced that Jack Gross has joined the company as vice president of business development. His primary responsibility in this new role will be to lead all Schneider Logistics sales activities as well as the Schneider Brokerage business. Gross will work with sales teams for supply chain services as well as the transportation and brokerage groups within Schneider Logistics. Additionally, Gross will work with the solutions design team to improve overall supply chains for current customers.

Gross joins Schneider Logistics from The Axis Group, a finished logistics organization with operations in North America, Europe, South America and South Africa, where he was president and CEO.

Prior to his work at The Axis Group, Gross was vice president and general manager of automotive at Customized Transportation Inc. (CTI). In this role, he was responsible for sales in the automotive sector and for all international automotive operations. He successfully launched CTI in Germany, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Argentina and during this time, the company was able to generate $60 million of revenue, with margins exceeding those of domestic operations.

In 1989, Gross began Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), one of the first 3PLs serving the automotive industry. Under his leadership, LINC quickly rose to become one of the top 40 3PLs in North America.

Gross received his master of administration and bachelor of science degrees from Bowling Green State University. Gross currently lives in Green Bay, Wis., with his wife Karen.
