Vote for America’s Ugliest Yard!

America’s Two Ugliest Yards Will Get First Aid from the Briggs & Stratton Yard Doctor

MILWAUKEE, July 10 /PRNewswire/ — Four of America’s ugliest yards have been identified and now it’s up to everyone to decide which two will receive landscaping cash, new yard care equipment and a house call from the Yard Doctor for some emergency care. Vote by July 23 at myuglyyard.com.

The finalists, singled out from hundreds of entries, are yards that tip the ugly scale for different reasons. One includes a collection of lawn ornaments and rummage sale finds (entered in the competition by the son of the homeowner) while others just gradually slipped into the ugly zone as yard care issues mounted. One thing they have in common: all could use some help to get back on track again.

“Yard care issues can start out small and escalate,” explains Yard Doctor Trey Rogers, Ph.D., on behalf of Briggs & Stratton Corporation. “All of a sudden you look outside one day and your yard is out of control. The good news is you can fix it — you just need some ideas and motivation to get things looking good again.”

Rogers, Ph.D., will help the two homeowners who get the most votes from consumers everywhere. He will diagnose problems, prescribe treatment and bring along a $1,000 check and new Briggs & Stratton-powered yard care equipment.

Yard Doctor Trey Rogers has more than 20 years experience helping everyone from homeowners across America to Olympic Games’ groundskeepers perfect their turf. He’s also the author of the lawn care book, Lawn Geek, and mans the phones for the annual Yard Smarts Hotline which offers free yard care advice every spring.
