Onshore Stage Show Will Resume Thursday, June 12

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (June 11, 2008) – Managers of the Tommy Bartlett Show plan to reopen the stage and sky portions of the famous show on Thursday, June 12 with two performances at 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. The Show’s traditional first half, which consists of high-speed waterskiing and daredevil flips, jumps and spins, will not be a part of the Show due to the catastrophic breach of Lake Delton on Monday, June 9.

“The Tommy Bartlett Show has a deep-rooted history of providing spectacular entertainment on the shores of Lake Delton every summer. For the past 55 years, people have come to expect a great Show and we won’t let them down, lake or no lake,” said Tom Diehl, general manager of Tommy Bartlett, Inc.

The Show, opening Thursday, will feature the world-class thrill performers who entertain on the stage of the Bartlett amphitheatre. The previously-scheduled lineup will go on as planned and two new performers – past favorites of the Tommy Bartlett Show – are returning to perform for the summer as the Show works to keep audiences entertained.

The added performers include Wes Harrison – known by audiences as “Mr. Sound Effects” – who will arrive for the Show’s reopening. Arriving Friday is longtime Bartlett favorite, Dieter Tasso, who juggles everything from top hats to tea cups, even on his head.

This year’s stage lineup also includes the world-famous Nerveless Nocks, performing feats on their 65-foot “Wheel of Destiny” and the Cirque Equinox Aerial Spectacular. In addition, T.J. Howell, along with his two young sons, will perform comedic juggling and unicycle tricks.

“We have a great lineup secured and will be able to stage a 90-minute show featuring spectacular talent on stage and high in the sky,” Diehl said.

Other than minor flooding that preceded Lake Delton’s breach, the Show’s amphitheatre was not damaged in the incident. Crews were busy Tuesday and today with additional clean up and preparation for Thursday’s reopening.

The Tommy Bartlett Show is one of Wisconsin Dells’ quintessential attractions celebrating 55 years of family entertainment. Generations of families have enjoyed a visit to the Show each summer during their Wisconsin Dells vacation. The Tommy Bartlett Show runs daily, rain or shine, 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. through Labor Day.
