Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek Expands Milwaukee Office

Additional space demonstrates commitment to Milwaukee and provides capacity for growth

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – April 25, 2008 – Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., one of Wisconsin’s leading law firms, has completed the expansion of its downtown Milwaukee office.

The firm took over an additional 15,000 square feet on the 16th floor of Cathedral Place, 555 E. Wells St., where it also occupies the 17th, 18th and 19th floors. The new space provides room for 26 attorney offices, 10 paralegal offices and 14 secretary offices.

The firm acquired the additional space as part of its five-year strategic plan, which includes increasing the firm’s presence in Wisconsin, and continuing to expand and add practice areas.

“Many of the firm’s practice groups are poised for growth based on market demands,” said Traci Mortensen, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek’s chief operating officer. “Milwaukee has been a great place for our firm to find the talented attorneys it needs to be successful. The area also continues to be a viable place to do business, which is why WHD continues to invest its resources here.”

With the expansion, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek now occupies 75 percent of the 16th floor. There are plans to acquire the remaining space in 2010 when it becomes available, Mortensen added.

This is the second office expansion for the law firm in less than 1 year. Last summer, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek’s Madison office underwent a major expansion, adding more than 13,000 square feet to its offices across from the state capital.

For more than 60 years, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. has played a leading role in shaping the political, economic and legal landscapes in Wisconsin—guiding its clients to successful outcomes. The firm, with offices in Milwaukee, Madison and Manitowoc, has more than 150 attorneys and paralegals practicing more than 40 areas of law.
