Governor Doyle Announces Industrial Revenue Bond Allocation in Brillion

Project to create 32 jobs


 


MADISON- Governor Jim Doyle today announced a $7,000,000 Industrial Revenue Bond (IRB) allocation for Professional Plating, Inc. in Brillion, Calumet County.


 


“One of the top priorities of my administration is to help move industries, companies, and communities forward, and ensure there are good, family-supporting jobs for our citizens,” Governor Doyle said. I am pleased to provide Professional Plating with a bond that will allow the company to grow.”


 


Professional Plating, Inc., established in 1979, provides metal finishing, assembly, and logistical services to original equipment manufacturers. The company will use the funds to expand and equip its existing production facility in Brillion. The company also plans to purchase a new barrel plating line, which will make the finishing process more efficient. The project is to create 32 jobs. Total project cost is $8,300,000.


 


Industrial Revenue Bonds are bonds free of federal tax issued by local governments, and the proceeds are loaned to new or expanding businesses for development projects. The interest rate is generally below the going prime rate.
