Three Day Course Trains a New Batch of Solar Ready HVAC, Mechanical, and Plumbing Professionals

MILWAUKEE, March 26 /PRNewswire/ — To meet the rapidly growing demand for highly trained solar energy system installers in Wisconsin, a comprehensive Solar Water Heating Installation Lab for HVAC, Mechanical, and Plumbing Professionals is taking place Wednesday, March 26, to Friday, March 28, 2008. Upon successful completion of the course, newly qualified installers will satisfy the educational component required to get on the Focus on Energy Full Service Installer List and most importantly, their qualifying customers will be eligible to receive all correlating State renewable energy financial incentive rewards through Focus on Energy. The Course is a result of a three- way partnership between Hot Water Products, Inc., the Midwest Renewable Energy Association, and Artha Sustainable Living Center. Classes are being held at Hot Water Products, Inc., the Midwest’s Leader in supply, design, and project management services of solar hot water systems and a wholesale distributor and manufacturer’s representative of high-efficiency conventional water heating products.


The class will be half lecture and half hands-on format. During the course, students will build a functioning drain-back water heating system as well as a pressurized hot water system that will incorporate a PV powered pump. Focus on Energy and WE Energies are offering a 50% tuition scholarship for eligible participants. The MREA has applied for CEU’s for this class with the State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce.
