Madison, WI – Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) is pleased to announce Carrie O’Dell as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

O’Dell has worked for GHC-SCW for over 10 years, first as a Human Resources Generalist and then as a Human Resources Manager. O’Dell has more than 17 years of experience as a Human Resources professional.

“Over the past decade here at GHC-SCW, Carrie has consistently performed with great skill and dedication and has rightfully earned the respect of her coworkers,” commented Dr. Mark Huth, GHC-SCW President and Chief Executive Officer. “She has led a number of improvement projects, each of which have increased efficiency and provided an enhanced level of HR support across our organization. We have no doubt Carrie will continue to be a valued partner and mentor for many in the organization.”

“I am honored to continue my work in this new role,” said O’Dell. “It is gratifying and fulfilling, not only from a professional perspective, but also a personal one, to play just a small part in our mission to providing the best care possible to our patients.”

O’Dell earned a bachelor’s degree in human resource administration, as well as additional human resources certifications through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Society for Human Resource Management program. She will take over CHRO responsibilities from Mark Dalebroux, who will retire in January after serving as CHRO for GHC-SCW for over 10 years.
