MILWAUKEE: Monday, September 11 - To ensure that Milwaukee students are prepared for the new school year, Kohl's donated 10,000 backpacks filled with school supplies for K4, 1st and 2nd grade students in Milwaukee Public Schools. This Tuesday, Kohl's volunteers will hand-deliver some of those backpacks and supplies to students at Milwaukee French Immersion School on Milwaukee's west side.

2360 N. 52nd St., Milwaukee, WI 53210
Tuesday, September 12th from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Milwaukee French Immersion School is a high-achieving public school where French is spoken as the primary language. Students learn core subjects such as science, math and social studies in French, while also studying English language arts. Art, music, dance, and gym are offered, and extracurricular activities include Lego League Robotics, theater, athletics and Girl Scouts.
Nearly 200 Kohl's associates volunteered to pack the 10,000 backpacks prior to this delivery. This delivery day will allow Kohl's to see first-hand what their generosity and hard work means to these students. Kohl's employees filled backpacks with crayons, pencils, glue sticks, folders and more during the large-scale event. The backpacks come in an assortment of colors. School supplies will help ensure that all children have the tools they need to succeed in school, and will reduce the need for teachers to pay for materials out of their own pockets.
