Madison, Wisconsin – This year’s freshman class of nearly 290 students arrives Saturday, August 19. Importantly, this group has one of the highest academic profiles in the history of the College.

“The work these students have done in the classroom to prepare for their next steps at college is admirable,” Director of Freshman Admissions Derek Johnson said. “We are honored that these students and their families recognize the opportunity we offer to build on that great work, and to challenge these young people to build a better world through study, leadership and service.”

While Wisconsin students continue to comprise the majority of freshmen, the class of 2021 hails from a total of 8 other states, including Colorado, Oregon, Florida, Michigan, and California.
