Fond du Lac, WI – November 15, 2016 – Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau announced that it has named Peter Wilke as Director of Festival and Events, a new position for the bureau.
Wilke will oversee the department, which includes producing the Sturgeon Spectacular winter festival, February 10-12, 2017, now heading into its second year. In addition, he will work closely with the bureau and its partners on special events, designed to bring more tourists to Fond du Lac and the Lake Winnebago region.
Prior to this position, he was Senior Program Manager at GMR Marketing in New Berlin, WI planning special events and marketing programs for various clients including Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Maxim Magazine, and more. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing.
