Network Health receives rating of 4.5 for its commercial health insurance plans.

MENASHA, WI – Network Health received a 4.5 out of 5.0 rating in the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) Private Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2016-2017. Network Health was among the highest-rated health plans in Wisconsin for the second year in a row.

Annual NCQA scores are based on 81 measures in the categories of consumer satisfaction, prevention and treatment. Ratings are given on a scale of zero to five, with five being the highest rating. More than 90 percent of health plans in America apply for annual rating through the NCQA, making the NCQA ratings an apples-to-apples comparison of health plans and their services.

Network Health received a 4.5 overall rating in the area of preventive care, including a score of 5 stars for efforts in childhood immunization, postpartum care and colorectal and cervical cancer screenings. The company also received a rating of 5.0 for its diabetes treatment programs. In the customer service category, Network Health received a 4.0 rating for claims handling, overall customer service and customer satisfaction with primary care physicians.

“At Network Health, we partner with our members and providers to ensure that they’re getting the appropriate preventive screenings, managing their chronic conditions and focusing on their health and wellness to improve quality of life,” said Kimberly Swanson, director of quality improvement. “The high rating we received from the NCQA confirms to us that we’re providing exceptional services to our members.”
