Milwaukee, WI, April 19, 2016 – The developers of Schlitz Park announced today that VCPI, a nationwide provider of information technology (IT) solutions for the long-term and post-acute care market, has signed a lease for 20,000 square feet on the second floor of Schlitz Park’s RiverCenter building, 1555 River Center Drive. VCPI will move 150 employees to Schlitz Park July 1st from their current location at 111 W. Michigan Street.

The lease brings the original 400,000 square feet of available space at the 46-acre riverfront office complex to 100 percent occupancy, a milestone achieved in just three years following a $62 million renovation. Schlitz Park now turns its attention to leasing 80,000 square feet of former warehouse space in the RiverCenter building.

That space will be converted into office suites totaling 50,000 divisible square feet along with 30,000 square feet of storage space with a loading dock. The first floor space offers prime riverfront and city views, dedicated private entrances, soaring 24-foot ceilings and is available in footprints from 7,500 square feet to the entire space. Tenants will have access to the same comprehensive amenities that appealed to VCPI.

“We’re one of Milwaukee’s largest IT companies and we want to attract and retain the area’s best technology talent. Being located at Schlitz Park adds tremendous value to our company identity and employee brand,” explained VCPI CEO Dan Weise. “Bublr bike share, car sharing, electric vehicle charging – these are just a few of the amenities here that speak to the concerns and desires of today’s millennial employees and are extremely advantageous for us to have.”

VCPI has a total of 175 employees and serves more than 2,400 long-term and post-acute care providers nationwide. The company plans to grow to more than 200 employees in the next few years as it expands its service desk personnel, with most of that growth at Schlitz Park. Weise believes the Schlitz Park location will appeal to employees and clients alike.

“A lot of our prospective clients visit the Milwaukee area and we provide them a tour of our data center (located on Milwaukee’s west side). Now when they visit our new headquarters at Schlitz Park it will demonstrate our commitment to retaining and attracting the best talent available,” said Weise. “This area is booming, especially with the new entertainment district the Milwaukee Bucks are developing, and we can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Jenna Maguire and Ned Purtell of RFP Commercial, Inc., representing Schlitz Park, and Jack Quinlevan of Quinlevan Commercial Real Estate, Inc., representing VCPI, negotiated the lease. VCPI joins a growing cluster of technology companies at Schlitz Park including AECOM, Infosys, Intermedix, Kiriworks and Shortel (formerly Corvisa).

“VCPI is a great fit for Schlitz Park. It’s a successful, growing company looking to add young talent that wants to live and play close to where they work,” said Schlitz Park developer Gary Grunau. “Looking ahead, Schlitz Park is seeing great interest and excitement as we continue to develop new spaces to meet the demand for employers who want to locate in an increasingly vibrant downtown area.”
