Madison, WI – UW Credit Union Board Member, Dr. Ann Hoyt, was inducted in the 2015 Cooperative Hall of Fame. Hoyt was one of four exceptional cooperative leaders recognized on May 6, 2015.

Hoyt began her distinguished cooperative career as a member of the Berkley Consumer Food Co-op in the 1960s. She later served on the board of the National Cooperative Bank, National Cooperative Business Association as well as the Consumer Cooperative Management Association. As a UW-Madison professor, her passion for teaching led to the launch of an intensive education program for food cooperative managers, the Cooperative Management Institute. Further, Hoyt has continuously been elected to the UW Credit Union Board of Directors since 1994.

“I’m honored to be recognized for my work in the cooperative movement,” said Hoyt. “This induction is the highest honor that the community bestows and I am committed to continuing my efforts to ensure meaningful and lasting impact for cooperatives worldwide.” Hoyt further noted, “I am especially proud of my work on the UW Credit Union Board of Directors.”

Induction into the Cooperative Hall of Fame is reserved for those who have made genuinely heroic contributions to the cooperative community.

“Hoyt’s heroic leadership has played a vital role in the noteworthy progress of UW Credit Union,” said President and CEO Paul Kundert. “We’re proud to recognize and celebrate her many achievements in advancing the cooperative movement.”
