Waukesha company wins mega category grand award

Milwaukee – HUSCO International, Inc. is one of seven Wisconsin companies awarded a prestigious Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award. The winners were announced Thursday night at a black tie banquet honoring the 40 nominees.

In the last five years, HUSCO has managed to triple their global sales, and their earnings grew by more than seven times.

They firmly believe in supporting their surrounding communities through various methods including providing financial assistance to a large and diverse group of nonprofits. HUSCO and its owners donated over seven million dollars in 2014.

HUSCO provides a generous tuition reimbursement program for 100 percent repayment of tuition and books if pursuing an academic degree related career growth at their organization. This benefit is applicable to two year, four year and graduate degree programs.

They have also established an extensive co-op and internship program that provides employment and development opportunities for approximately 50 college level students per year, primarily in engineering and technical fields. HUSCO also partners with local high schools and technical colleges to provide internship opportunities for an additional six to ten students per year. These internships provide the vast majority of full-time hires for HUSCO’s positions.

HUSCO’s CEO leads 10 to 20 top employees through a four month leadership training session each year. These sessions are focused on helping their top executives reach their full potential as business leaders and human beings.

Celebrating its 27th year, the Manufacturer of the Year Award program recognizes manufacturers of all sizes and industries for their contributions to the great state of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award winners were selected by an independent panel of judges representing manufacturing, service and the public sector.

The accounting and advisory firm of Baker Tilly, the law firm of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, and the business association Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce sponsor the MOTY awards program.
