Associated Bank: Trio of rival football stars lose their wallets for charity

The search for Aaron Rodgers’ wallets kicked off at Lambeau Field last night, with scavenger hunts in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois to follow

GREEN BAY, Wis., Oct. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Early in last night’s Green Bay vs. Minnesota game, thousands of fans were out of their seats, not cheering for action on the field, but searching for 28 lost “wallets” belonging to star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, which were randomly hidden below their stadium seats.

The in-stadium execution, complete with a Tundra Vision video Winning Wallets featuring Aaron Rodgers searching for his lost wallet, marked the kick-off to a wallet search sponsored by Associated Bank in partnership with the United Way. The search will take place across Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin, involving the “wallets” of Hall of Famers Dan Hampton and Randall McDaniel in addition to Rodgers.

Associated Bank will donate $30,000 to be shared by United Way organizations in Chicago, Minneapolis and Green Bay once all 300 wallets are found. The wallets will be hidden throughout the tri-state region.

Each lucky winner and a guest will be invited to an exclusive Associated Bank-hosted event in December where they will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with a pro football legend in Chicago, Minneapolis and Green Bay. Illinois winners will have the opportunity to meet Dan Hampton at Soldier Field, Randall McDaniel will congratulate winners at Target Field and Aaron Rodgers will welcome guests at Lambeau Field. Each winner will receive autographed merchandise and have a photo opportunity with the featured player. The Winning Wallet celebratory events will be capped at 225 guests in each state, allowing guests better opportunity to celebrate with the players.

Individuals must like Associated Bank on Facebook (/AssociatedBank) or follow Associated Bank (@AssociatedBank) on Twitter to obtain clues for finding the wallets.

“This is another exciting phase of an extensive celebration Associated has created to mark our long-standing relationship with the Packers Organization,” Associated Bank Chief Marketing Officer, Christopher Piotrowski said. “The campaign also plays off the storied rivalries in Illinois and Minnesota. We are excited to engage fans and our customers with our partnership with the United Way and its nonprofit partners through this fun experience.”

Associated Bank has been the bank of the Green Bay Packers since 1919 and earlier this season hosted events including the ongoing Packers Experience and the MVP Photo Bomb Sweepstakes (Photo Bomb Video).

Associated Bank recently released a video Together celebrating the historic rivalry between the professional football teams in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, since these are the three states where Associated branches are located.
