Two more insurers sign up for insurance exchange

Fifteen insurers have applied to offer individual health plans to Wisconsin residents next year through the federal exchange, according to the Office of Commissioner of Insurance.

Additionally, 10 companies — all identical or related to ones who intend to offer individual plans — applied to offer small business plans.

The OCI announced today it has finished its review of rates and forms the companies filed to ensure the plans complied with state regulations. The companies also have to complete a federal review, according to OCI.

Last year, 13 companies applied to offer individual plans and nine applied to offer small business plans.

The OCI did not release rate information.
