Project to create 15 jobs

MADISON—Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Letterhead Press, Inc., New Berlin, Waukesha County, will receive $55,000 in tax credits from the Economic Development Tax Credit Program from the Department of Commerce (Commerce) to help purchase equipment for its facility.

“To ensure a strong future for the state, we will continue to support strong companies, such as Letterhead Press, Inc. that are committed to providing jobs for hardworking Wisconsin families,” Governor Doyle said.

Founded in 1984, Letterhead Press, Inc. is a graphic arts company that specializes in fine embossing, foil stamping, and holographic application. The company is purchasing additional equipment for its New Berlin facility, creating 15 jobs. Total investment is $465,000.

This project builds on Governor Doyle’s efforts to position Wisconsin for future growth. Since taking office in 2003, Governor Doyle has worked aggressively to create and retain jobs in Wisconsin. Governor Doyle’s budget last year created some of the strongest economic development tools in the nation to help businesses create jobs and get people back to work. Wisconsin now has powerful new tax credits to help manufacturers create and retain jobs, new tools to help investors create start-ups, and new incentives to spur research and development.
