Upcoming Football Championship Recipe Round-Up Contest Seeks Tex-Mex Potato Recipes

Antigo, WI — November 10, 2010 — This year, it wasn’t just the first place winner who benefited from a winning Wisconsin potato recipe — one lucky community charity did as well. The Win with Wisconsin Potatoes Holiday Contest, sponsored by the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA), awarded first-place winner Roxanne Chan, of Albany, California, a $150 gift card to the grocery store of her choice for her “Party Pepper and Potato Risotto” recipe. The WPVGA awarded another $150 to Roxanne’s charity of choice, The Salvation Army.

Other winning recipes include “Honey Roasted Potatoes Italian Style” from Linda Bibbo of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and “Pecan Toffee Bars” by Marilyn Blankschien of Clintonville, Wisconsin. All three winning recipes can be found at http://www.WinWithWisconsinPotatoes.com.

The latest Wisconsin potatoes recipe contest — Football Championship Recipe Round-Up has also begun. Consumers can enter their favorite Tex-Mex Wisconsin potato recipe for a chance to win $150, $100 or $50 gift card from their favorite grocery store.
