Blakeway Worldwide Panoramas adds to its Packer portfolio an early-evening version of the stunning daylight image

GREEN BAY, WIS.(November 09, 2010 ) – As sunset settled in on a late-October night, photographer Chris Gjevre perched at one end of Lambeau Field, the Packers’ offense growing ever larger in his lens.

Then, at the same fraction of a second, Packer running back Brandon Jackson crashed through the Minnesota defense into the end zone and Gjevre clicked his shutter.

That touchdown on Oct. 24 before a national television audience meant Green Bay was on its way to vanquishing Brett Favre and the Vikings, and Blakeway Worldwide Panoramas was on its way to immortalizing a most satisfying victory for Packers fans.

“Perfect is the only way to describe how everything came together that evening at Lambeau – the weather, the lighting, the moment and, of course, the result for Packers fans,” said Jim Blakeway, whose Minneapolis-based company has been using its sole marketing rights to photograph Lambeau and 30 other National Football League stadiums.

This twilight vision of the most famous professional football battlefield in America joins the daylight version that Packers fans have been snapping up for several weeks at Lambeau and online.

“The two photos really complement each other when displayed side by side,” Blakeway said. “Not only does Lambeau look distinctly different in the daytime vs. night, but fans get the end zone perspective in one and the cross-field view with the other. Don’t ask me which one I like better. I love them both even more when paired.”

The first panoramic photo was snapped as the Packers extended their dominance over longtime foe with a victory over Detroit on a sunny Oct. 3 afternoon at Lambeau, where Packers fans have come back week after week and year after year for 54 seasons. . Now the two Lambeau panorama photos are part of a growing list of others from around the NFL that have recently gone on sale through the teams’ official websites and at the stadium shops. Chris Schlemmer, in charge of retail online sales for several other NFL teams, reports that panorama sales have been strong.

“Blakeway’s photos are just beautiful,” Schlemmer said. “There really is no other way to describe them. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how things are going. Our customers are seizing the opportunity to enhance their game-day experience in a way that makes a memory last a lifetime.”

Sure, the remarkable view these photos offer surely makes this a hard-to-resist purchase, but sales have been strong also because of incredibly affordable pricing. Spanning more than 3 feet in width and more than a foot in height on high-quality, acid-neutral paper, these wall-dominating images are priced as low as $30 (plus tax and shipping). Standard and deluxe framing are also available for ordering.

Schlemmer, who oversees hundreds of NFL souvenirs, said it’s the “fan-friendly” pricing that will ensure “robust sales for a fabulous product that we are proud to offer for years to come.”

The Lambeau Field images are available for purchase through the Packers official website http://www.packersproshop.com and the team’s Pro Shop located at 1265 Lombardi Ave, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54304.
