UW-Stevens Point: UWSP marketing communications efforts honored

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point received four awards from the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals in its 2010 international MarCom Awards competition, honoring concept, writing and design in corporate and institutional communications.

The university’s student recruitment viewbook, “I am a Trailblazer,” produced with the assistance of the Lipman Hearne agency, along with UWSP Admissions and University Relations and Communications, earned a MarCom Platinum Award. The university’s website written content that integrates with the student recruitment materials also received a platinum award.

The UWSP website home page earned a Gold MarCom award for design and content, and the Web-based video series on the university’s sustainability efforts, “Green Spots,” received an Honorable Mention award.

The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, based in Arlington, Texas, began the MarCom awards in 1995. This year’s winners also included such corporations as Lockheed Martin, McGraw-Hill and Fidelity Investments. Other winning universities included New York University, Johns Hopkins and Georgia Tech.
