Dept. of Commerce: Governor Doyle announces Industrial Revenue Bond allocation in Jefferson County

Project to create 22 positions

MADISON—Governor Jim Doyle today announced a $3,900,000 Industrial Revenue Bond allocation for Kendall Packaging Corporation, Jefferson, Jefferson County.

“Programs like these ensure that Wisconsin remains a friendly place to do business,” Governor Doyle said. “We must support strong companies like Kendall Packaging Corporation, which are committed to providing jobs for hardworking Wisconsin families.”

Kendall Packaging Corporation, founded in 1948, specializes in commercial flexographic printing for flexible packaging solutions. The company will update its production facility in Jefferson by purchasing additional equipment for continued growth. This project will create 22 positions and represents $7.5 million in investment.

Industrial Revenue Bonds are bonds free of federal tax, issued by local governments, and the proceeds are loaned to new or expanding businesses for development projects. The interest rate is generally below the going prime rate.
