Local charities receive $450,000 worth of services from Knupp & Watson & Wallman event

MADISON, Wis. – (October 12, 2010) – Madison-based Knupp & Watson & Wallman (KW2) completed 55 advertising and marketing projects for 20 different nonprofits during its Goodstock event, October 7 and 8, making it the largest Goodstock event to date.

In all, Goodstock 2010 generated $450,000 in goods, services and donated media time for area nonprofits. Work ranging from television and radio commercials to websites, print ads, logos and videos were produced in just 24 hours.

“The premise of Goodstock is simple,” said Andy Wallman, president of KW2. “Nonprofit groups in our community do great work, but they don’t have great marketing budgets to deliver their messages. We decided to give them our undivided attention and expertise each year and to do as much good as humanly possible in 24 hours.”

The nonprofit organizations who received services this year included:

* A Fund for Women

* Badger Honor Flight

* Centro Hispano

* Epilepsy Foundation Southern Wisconsin

* FEED Madison

* Gilda’s Club Madison

* Gio’s Garden

* Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Western Wisconsin

* Madison Children’s Museum

* MARC Foundation of Dane County

* The Prairie Enthusiasts

* Rainbow Hospice Care

* Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center

* Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Madison Affiliate

* Walbridge School

* Wisconsin Foundation for School Music

* Wisconsin Well Woman Program

* YMCA of Dane County

* VSA Wisconsin

Goodstock, founded in 2004, continues to grow each year including ad agencies elsewhere joining the effort.

“We successfully expanded Goodstock to include two other agencies, Luquire George Andrews (LGA) in Charlotte, NC and Harvey McKinnon Associates (HMA) in Toronto, ON and Vancouver, BC,” said Wallman. “I would love to continue that spirit by challenging other businesses, of all kinds, to think about how they can help nonprofits by donating goods, time or resources to a nonprofit they’re passionate about.”
