MADISON—Governor Jim Doyle today announced that US Pride Products, LLC, Hammond, St. Croix County, has received the Qualified New Business Venture certification from the Department of Commerce (Commerce) for the development of its Hands-Free Log Splitter.
The company’s certification by Commerce makes investors in US Pride Products, LLC eligible for a 25-percent tax credit on the amount they invest in the company.
“I am very excited to support a new company that will grow and thrive in Wisconsin,” Governor Doyle said. “US Pride Products, LLC is built on a foundation of innovative technology and strong leadership.”
US Pride Products, LLC, formed in 2007, was created to develop a hands-free log splitter and various attachments. The product is able to split larger logs more quickly than traditional log splitters and does not require a manual feed for the splitter.
