MADISON, Wis. – (September 29, 2010) – Knupp & Watson & Wallman (KW2) has selected 19 non- profit organizations as recipients of Goodstock™, KW2’s 24-hour advertising marathon.

During the largest Goodstock event to date, nonprofits will receive free marketing services ranging from advertising and public relations to web site development and social media strategy. All work will be completed in a 24-hour period October 7 and 8, 2010. The organizations include:

A Fund for Women

Badger Honor Flight

Centro Hispano

Epilepsy Foundation Southern Wisconsin

FEED Madison

Gilda’s Club Madison

Gio’s Garden

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Western Wisconsin

Madison Children’s Museum

MARC Foundation of Dane County

The Prairie Enthusiasts

Rainbow Hospice Care

Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center

Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Madison Affiliate

Walbridge School

Wisconsin Foundation for School Music

Wisconsin Well Woman Program

YMCA of Dane County

VSA Wisconsin

Goodstock, founded in 2004, continues to grow each year. The 2010 event will serve more nonprofit organizations than ever before. In addition, ad agencies elsewhere have joined the effort.

“We successfully expanded Goodstock to include two other agencies, Luquire George Andrews (LGA) in Charlotte, NC and Harvey McKinnon Associates (HMA) in Toronto, ON and Vancouver, BC” said Andy Wallman, President of KW2. “I would love to continue that spirit by challenging other businesses, of all kinds, to think about how they can help nonprofits by donating goods, time or resources to a nonprofit they’re passionate about.”

In an unusual collaboration, teams from each agency will come together via Skype to hold brainstorming sessions to solve the marketing challenges of some of the nonprofit organizations.

“The premise of Goodstock is simple,” said Wallman “Nonprofit groups in our community do great work, but they don’t have great marketing budgets to deliver their messages. We decided to give them our undivided attention and expertise each year and to do as much good as humanly possible in 24 hours.”

The nonprofit organizations’ Goodstock applications are evaluated on the following:

The services they provide

Their need for, and inability to, fund marketing, advertising and PR initiatives because of budget cuts, reductions in donations or a measurable increase in demand for their organization’s services due to the economic downturn

Their status as a 501(c)(3)

Their availability to meet with their Goodstock team during the 24-hour period
