Little Rapids Corporation: Purchases Larsen Converting

(Green Bay, WI) – Little Rapids Corporation, a leading manufacturer and marketer of products for the healthcare, beauty and specialty paper markets, is pleased to announce that it has acquired Larsen Converting Industries, Inc. Larsen Converting is a paper converting and flexographic printing company. Both companies’ headquarters are based in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Larsen is an exceptional company and will make us stronger, said Kirk Ryan, Little Rapids Corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “This acquisition is also good news for the area’s economy. We will continue to operate Larsen’s two manufacturing facilities, which will increase our total area employment to approximately 425.”

Little Rapids Corporation was founded by Charles Egan in 1947 and remains a family-owned business. The company’s core product lines serve the medical and beauty market segments under the Graham Professional brand, and the specialty paper market under the Shawano Specialty Papers brand. With headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Green Bay, the company, which employs 365, also has a paper manufacturing facility in Shawano, Wisconsin. Larsen Converting was founded in 1992 by Donald Larsen III. The company has enjoyed extraordinary growth and now has eight flexographic printing presses with 10-color capability. The firm has two manufacturing facilities, one in Green Bay and another in Ashwaubenon.
