Paddle Quest: Canoe adventure race to benefit the Boys and Girls Club and WWSP 90 FM

“Paddle Quest 2010: New Order”

Stevens Point , WI at Lakeside Bar, August 14th and 15th

Since 2002 Paddle Quest has brought paddlers together to participate in the ultimate canoe/kayak adventure challenge. Film footage from the event is being developed into a series of promotional web shorts as well as a short film for the Central Wisconsin Film Festival.

Over the course of two days, teams paddle to find hidden treasures, visit characters, play games and explore the backwaters of the Wisconsin River. Teams can register as a canoe based coed team of three, team of two or as a solo-kayaker. Teams must pre-register online at http://www.thebackwaters.net or at Emy J’s in Stevens Point

This is the ninth year of the event and proceeds from the event will be donated to the The Boys and Girls Club of Portage County and WWSP 90FM respectively.

The Boys and Girls Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. WWSP 90 FM is the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point alternative radio station. We are the largest student operated radio station in the entire Midwest.
