If you filed your tax return near the April 15th deadline and submitted it on paper, please allow up to 8-10 weeks for processing your refund.

If you owed money on your income tax return but did not submit payment by April 15th, you will receive a Notice of Tax Due. It is recommended that you submit payment in full by the due date on the Notice to avoid penalties and interest. Interest is charged at 1.5% of the balance due for each month money is owed, and there is a collection fee of $35 or $6.5 percent of the balance due, whichever is greater. Payment plans are available and can be arranged by following the instructions (on page 3) in your Notice.
