Dept. of Commerce: Gov. Doyle Announces Funding For Tushaus Computer Services, Inc.

MADISON – Gov. Jim Doyle announced today that Tushaus Computer Services, Inc., Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, will receive $75,500 in Technology Zone tax credits. The Metropolitan Milwaukee Technology Zone includes the counties of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha.

“My Grow Wisconsin initiative emphasizes the key role of technology development in the continued economic growth of our state,” Gov. Doyle said. “I am pleased to provide funding for Tushaus Computer Services, Inc. My administration is committed to supporting projects that will generate additional high-paying jobs needed for Wisconsin’s strong future.”

“Milwaukee County and the Southeast Regional Economic Partnership are excited about the opportunity to assist Tushaus Computer Services with its expansion project,” said John R. Meland, Chief Economic Development Planner for the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission. “The information technology industry is a critical and growing segment of the Southeastern Wisconsin economy and companies like Tushaus represent the future of the IT industry.”

Tushaus Computer Services, Inc., is a business-to-business computer services company that offers software development, networking, training, and technical support. It is investing $642,762 in new equipment to upgrade its data center. The project will retain 45 positions. It will create three positions at an average wage of $28.85/hour.
