Advance: 8th annual Northeastern Wisconsin Global Trade Conference set for March 30

Green Bay, Wis.– (Feb. 24, 2010) – The 8th Annual Northeastern Wisconsin Global Trade Conference – with a theme of “Taking Wisconsin to the World” – will provide business professionals with tools and skills needed to compete in the expanding global marketplace. The daylong conference will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the newly renovated Oshkosh Convention Center in downtown Oshkosh. The conference is presented in conjunction with U.S. Rep. Tom Petri (R-6th District) and U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen (D-8th District). Keynote speakers are Steve Shelley, Senior Vice President Supply Chain Management for Schreiber Foods, Inc. and Suresh Kumar, Assistant U.S. Secretary of Commerce and Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service in Washington D.C.

The conference is designed primarily for CEOs of large and small businesses, business owners, senior management teams, government officials, educators, economic development professionals, and college and university students. Topics to be covered in seminar sessions include:

* Export-import documentation and procedures,

* International forms of payment and risk mitigation,

* Global financing related to business expansion,

* A case study in developing and implementing a successful export program,

* Doing business in the Middle East, and

* Global supply chain management essentials.

The individual registration fee is $70 per person with each additional registrant from the same company at $65 per person until March 19, 2010. After that date, the fee increases to $80 for the first person and $75 for each additional person from the same company. Students are also welcome at a reduced fee of $15 until March 19, 2010 and $17 thereafter.
