Dept. of Commerce: Governor Doyle announces Romo, Inc. project to create 21 jobs

MADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Romo, Inc., De Pere, Brown County will receive $67,000 in tax credits for an expansion project that will create 21 jobs over the next two years. The project will retain the 50 positions currently located in De Pere.

“One of my top priorities is to help move companies and communities forward and create good-paying jobs for our citizens,” said Governor Doyle. “I’m pleased that we could assist Romo, Inc. in bringing new jobs to Brown County.”

Established in 1953 by Les Rose and Bill Moutrie as Romo Durable Graphics, the business is currently owned by Frederick H. Darling and Jonathan F. Darling. Romo produces durable graphics that enhance customers’ manufacturing process, product appearance and functionality, such as decals, in-mold graphics and SlapStick Dry Erase graphics. The project represents $1.4 million in total investment.
