MADISON, Wis. — Diane Halvorson, Executive Vice President at Summit Credit Union, celebrates a landmark 35 years with the Madison-based financial.

Diane joined Summit (formerly known as State Capitol Employees Credit Union) in 1974 as a teller at the financial’s Hill Farms branch after earning an associates degree in accounting from MATC. During her tenure, Diane has worked in and led every area of the Credit Union.

In 2008, she guided Summit through the history-making merger with Great Wisconsin Credit Union, creating Wisconsin’s largest credit union. Today, Diane oversees Summit’s marketing, training and internet services departments, as well as the contact center and 20-branch network.

“No one has contributed more to our success as an organization than Diane Halvorson,” said Andy Faust, CEO of Summit Credit Union. “She has mentored and coached hundreds of employees, and has built a culture of service to members and employees that has driven our accomplishments for 35 years.”

Diane and her husband John have been residents of Sun Prairie for 32 years, where she has been active in the community and was recently named to the board of directors of Sunshine Place.
