WHITEWATER Readers of Corporate Report Wisconsin continue to recognize the strength of the College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

For the second year in a row, the college was named a best school for online business education by readers of the monthly business magazine.

“We are honored that the business community in Wisconsin has once again identified UW-Whitewater as a Obest school for online education,” said Lois Smith, interim dean of the College of Business and Economics. “Our online BBA and MBA courses use a variety of approaches to student learning, including streaming video, audio, professor-led online discussions, online examinations, electronic reserve readings and case papers. We leverage the latest in technology to enhance student outcomes and personalize the educational experiences.”

This is the fifth year that Corporate Report Wisconsin held its Best of Wisconsin Business Awards. Nearly 2,600 readers voted online to select the winner through software that limited individuals to one vote per category. The 30 categories included best accounting firm, best advertising agency, best business bank and best staffing firm.

UW-Whitewater was recognized in the category of best school for online education.

Last fall, the Princeton Review named the College of Business and Economics a best business school for the third year in a row.
