HARTLAND, WI—(June 1, 2009)—The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies® Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin Business Development Centers are conducting a Second Annual March of Dimes Fundraiser, June 4, 2009.

The event, hosted by Farmers Business Development Center Managers Dave Howard and Paul Stachowicz, will be at the Song Bird Hills Country Club in Hartland, Wisconsin. The Hartland Fire Department will be sending two of its finest to help raise money for this worthy cause.

“The March of Dimes has a mission ‘to save babies’ lives,’ stated Eric Petersen, Wisconsin State Executive Director. “In these turbulent economic times it is important to continue to support charities that do so much good work in our communities.”

Petersen will sponsor one of the holes on the course for the fundraiser. Also participating in the tournament will be Charlie Bell from the Milwaukee Bucks, 1250 AM radio hosts Doug and Mike, and ESPN Wisconsin. Miss Wisconsin is also scheduled to be at the event. Service Master and Enterprise are also sponsoring holes.

“Farmers Insurance is the second largest insurance company fundraiser nationwide for the March of Dimes,” Petersen adds. “Last year Farmers raised $4.7 million dollars from fundraisers held throughout the country. We are proud of our involvement in helping to give premature babies a chance to grow up healthy and strong and live normal lives.”
