WisBusiness: BIO Blog tracks Wisconsin’s presence at biotech convention

The BIO International Convention is the global event for biotechnology. The event supports the world’s largest biotechnology organization, the Biotechnology Industry Organization. This year the conference returned home to its organizer’s headquarters in San Diego, June 17-20 and roughly 120 people from Wisconsin were expected to attend.

With items from the Wisconsin Technology Council’s Tom Still and Ryann Petit-Frere, the Wisconsin Biotechnology and Medical Device Association’s Jim Leonhart and writer Mike Flaherty, the WisBusiness BIO Blog again tracked Wisconsin’s participation in the annual convention. Among its many items, the blog featured coverage of Gov. Jim Doyle’s “challenge” to Calif. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a look at the success stories Wisconsin brought to the convention and an item on one Wisconsin company at the center of BIO’s influenza buzz.
