What: The citizens of Northeast Wisconsin oppose Special Session SBAB 24, The Polluters over People Bill. Speakers at tomorrow’s press conference are leaders of organizations representing thousands of Wisconsinite voters who recognize this bill for what it is; an aggressive rollback to decades of conservation protections, as well as a backdoor attempt to promote mining.

Notes: A joint hearing on The Polluters Over People Bill was held in the Assembly and Senate Natural Resource Committees last Wednesday, October 26.th 229 people testified or registered against this bill from across Wisconsin. No further action is scheduled on the bill at this time. However, because it is a “special session” bill, it could move at any time.
