Jodi Legge brings successful business background and dedication to cause
MILWAUKEE, WI September 19, 2012 / The March of Dimes has named a new Wisconsin state director. Jodi Legge, a native Wisconsinite, will oversee all facets of the Wisconsin chapter, from programs, public affairs and marketing to events, fundraising, operations and volunteer development.
Legge has more than 20 years experience in strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, communications, public relations and special event planning and was an award-winning newspaper reporter from 1995-2001. Legge spent five years working in Washington, D.C., leading the marketing, communications and fundraising efforts of the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and America’s Promise Alliance, a nonprofit children’s advocacy organization. In addition, Jodi has five years of corporate experience in the financial services, utilities and printing industries. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management & Marketing from Bethel University.
Born in Milwaukee and raised in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, Legge is proud of her Midwestern heritage and is thrilled to be back in Wisconsin. She enjoys travel, cooking, meeting new people, and is an avid Packer fan. She is married and the proud mom of two adult sons.

Her appointment is very exciting.”
Headquartered in Milwaukee, the March of Dimes Wisconsin chapter also has offices in Green Bay and Madison. It has 12 full-time employees and thousands of Wisconsin volunteers. The Chapter is preparing for Signature Chefs events in Milwaukee on September 27, in Green Bay on October 15, and in Madison on November 15.
The March of Dimes is the leading organization for pregnancy and baby health. The nonprofit group seeks to help moms have healthy pregnancies and give babies a healthy start, and works to prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
